The Zhuangzi text is divided into three sections: the Inner, Outer, and Miscellaneous chapters. Neipian, or the Inner Chapters contains most of the fables and is the least edited/revised of the three sections. Waipian, or the Outer Chapters and Zapian, or the Miscellaneous Chapters slowly moves away from Zhuangzian and Daoist philosophies as these chapters have been edited and rearranged over the centuries.
